Quotes to identify with

You know you're getting old when you stoop to tie your shoelaces and wonder what else you could do while you're down there.
  - George Burns

I was having this conversation with someone (other than myself) just the other day!

Life Changing

One of the stories that made the
Biggest impacts on me
was when Jim Rohn
told our audience about the little Girl Scout
who knocked on his door.

She was asking for $1 to buy a box of cookies
and he politely told her that he already
had bought some.

When the little girl left he closed the door
and sank to the ground and cried like a baby,
for having lied to the little girl AND
for NOT being able to Spare a Single Dollar for
the cookies.

You see - he was Broke, he couldn't afford
a Single Dollar AND it caused him to Lie
to an innocent little girl.
Jim swore up and down that he would NEVER
be in that position again.  That he would
make changes in his life for the better.

And of course he went on to be one of the
best known and beloved speakers of our time.

Many of you have been lying to yourself
about the financial situation you are in
and are seriously dreading the holidays that
are approaching.

The Bills, The Gifts you have to purchase,
the After Bills in the mailbox for months
and months....

Quotes I Live By

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Things I honestly believe.

Jokes:
A man goes to Frederick's of Hollywood. He wants to buy his wife the most sheer lingerie he can find. The woman behind the counter goes and gets an outfit. "This is $200," she says. "I want one that's more sheer," says he. "This one is $350." "I want it even more sheer than that." "This one is the most sheer that we have. It's $500." "I'll take it!"
The man goes home to his wife and shows it to her, saying, "Go put this on and come down to model it for me."
His wife goes upstairs, opens the box and thinks, "This thing is so see-through that the old coot won't even notice if I'm wearing it or not. I can take this back for a refund and he won't know the difference." So his wife comes out wearing nothing at all and strikes a pose at the top of the stairs. "So, how do you like it?" she asks.
He looks at her a moment and says, "Well, you'd think for $500 they'd iron the thing."

Rick Arnst and Friends :: About This Artist - ReverbNation

I started writing, playing, and performing music at the ripe old age of about 9 years old. I have soloed in the Houston Music Hall, done show tunes and played lead roles, played in the Houston Youth Symphony, been on television as a result, won awards and competitions, opened for and jammed with some pretty well known major artists but for the most part--music is like the love of my life--a personal matter. Ever once in a while I will still sit down to write a tune or two and this is my attempt simply to share some of those efforts. I hope you do enjoy these songs and I will be the first to tell you, I love CONSTRUCTIVE criticisms.
